課程概述

Tissue engineering is the application of life sciences and engineerings to develop biological substitutes for the restoration, maintenance, modification, improvement or replacement of tissue and organ function. We will introduce the principles of tissue engineering in this course as well as the current progress of stem cell and regenerative medicine. 

課程目標
1. Understand the fundamentals of Tissue and Cell engineering.
2. Understand biomaterials,scaffolds and extracellular matrix(ECM)
3. Learn the characterization of cells and tissue.
4. Design the bioreactor and artificial organ. 
課程要求
Students with biological related coursed are suggested. For senior undergraduate students interested in multidisciplinary researches, class codes can be requested from the instructor at the beginning of the semester.
